GreenVest routinely acquires land or the rights to develop mitigation for our projects/banks and to satisfy our clients’ specific needs. Land acquisition can occur in a number of ways depending upon the needs of the owner, the potential of the site to generate ecological asset value, or our specific needs or those of our clients. We are always looking for new land based opportunities. Please present your opportunities or direct your specific inquiries to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At our core, an entrepreneurial spirit frames GreenVest’s unique approach to each and every project, whether our own or designed to meet our client’s needs. As “eco-preneurs” we believe that combining ecological restoration with economic growth is not a contradiction in terms, but rather is feasible and essential to ensuring sustainability and quality of life in our natural resource constrained society. The GreenVest team possesses diverse scientific, restoration, financial, legal, land use planning, regulatory compliance, tax and real estate experience, focused on achieving a single goal: “Creating land based ecological and economic value”
We achieve this goal by identifying a set of highest and best uses to create a “sustainable” or “regenerative” master plan. GreenVest’s unique approach involves converting ecological lift into economic value on non-performing land-based assets. GreenVest acquires or secures the rights from owners to restore degraded and underutilized property, including contaminated or brownfield sites, surplus land surrounding existing land use, un-productive farmland, degraded or impaired natural resources where conventional development is severely constrained or economically infeasible and/or prohibited. Our proprietary process results in an economically viable and sustainable set of land uses that always include an ecological component as the central driver of each project.
Ecological elements may include restored wetland or aquatic systems, streams, riparian zone, forest area or wildlife habitat including threatened and endangered species. This ecological focus results in a higher state of natural resource function and value which ensures sustainability, increases quality of life, and enhances all other project elements, particularly in urban areas. GreenVest utilizes the sale of “ecological assets”, “mitigation bank credits” or “turnkey mitigation” to generate revenue for continued land acquisition and restoration.
We are constantly looking to purchase or license environmentally and ecologically challenged land throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and most recently New England. If you have a piece of property that fits the bill and are looking to generate cash flow please call us to discuss your sites’ potential.
